Standard flow, single stage, 6.5 power valve used in Holley two and four barrel carburetors, 2300, 4150 and 4160 series from 1958-up. This valve opens at 6.5" of vacuum, which makes it the most common power valve for many stock and peformance applications. This power valve is also used in most Ford 2100 and 4100 carburetors.
Holley power valves work by adding extra fuel when vacuum drops to the calibrated vacuum, in this case, 6.5" Hg (mercury). Under light throttle conditions, vacuum is high so the power valve stays closed. As the throttle is opened under load, the valve opens (at 6.5") to allow more fuel for the correct mixture under load.
